The European Citizen Prize-giving ceremony took place last Friday 5th April at the Westin Palace Hotel in Madrid, at which I was awarded the prize of European Citizen of the year by the AEL (Association of European Lawyers). 

    The European Forum 2001 had also selected another nine members of the AEL, apart from Mr. Antonio Díaz de Mera Lozano, to receive the forum’s gold medal.
